On his 9th birthday last weekend, my grandson Wesley asked to come from his home in St. Petersburg to Cedar Key so he could "go to the Island Hotel and eat clams." The next morning, he and two of his buddies from St. Petersburg helped me pull my deer stands out of the Refuge. The boys had a great time walking in the Refuge woods, and made many positive memories.
