The Board met on Monday April 18. Minutes will be posted as soon as they are approved. We discussed activities during the summer. We hope to have an active Friends summer this year, with monthly Bird and Nature Walks, paddling trips, photo safaris, and talks by experts on such timely topics as...MOSQUITOES! After the meeting with gathered around to say farewell to our Refuge Manager, John Kasbohm, who starts next week as the Manager of the 855,000-acre Sheldon-Hart Mountain Refuges on the Oregon-Nevada border. We are grateful for his 4+ years at the helm of our refuges and wish him well in Lakeview OR, where today the temperature is 45 degrees. What were you thinking, John, to agree to leave our weather for theirs?
