Friends Booth at the Old Florida Celebration of the Arts in Cedar Key

Saturday and Sunday, April 2 and 3, could not have been more gorgeous days for the Friends to greet visitors to the Old Florida Celebration of the Arts in Cedar Key. We even had a perfect location in the park, where the breezes blew and the sun was not too hot.

Dozens of visitors came to the booth to learn about our refuges. They stopped and talked. They took maps to help them find Shell Mound, the Nature Drive, and the River Trail. They bought Friends tee-shirts and tote bags. More than 40 signed up for our electronic newsletter.

Thanks to Jay, Bob, Barb, Donna, John, Joyce, Beth, Loye, Barney, Judy, Peg, Jerry, Ron, Russ, Marci, Jim, for helping in the booth. And of course to the musicians nearby and to our favorite guide Dog in Training, Sola, for helping attract visitors.
