Heritage

Shell Mound

Despite its unassuming name, Shell Mound (8LV42 to archaeologists), is a large shell-bearing archaeological site that was once the location of special gatherings for Native American groups across the broader region.

Vista

The Vista Camp's idyllic 14-acre site on the banks of the lower Suwannee River is at the heart of Refuge lands making it an ideal setting for visitors to connect to the unspoiled Florida wild lands and waters of the Nature Coast.

Seahorse Key

During open house days, visitors can walk uphill to the Light Station and walk around inside the building. However, the spiral stairs to the light itself are closed.
