Refuge Manager Andrew Gude and Deputy Manager Larry Woodward bring us some great news. Vic Doig has been chosen as The 2019 Refuge Systems Employee of the Year. This honor is awarded annually by the National Wildlife Refuge Association. The selection criteria for this prestigious award include: (1) Commitment to conservation
(2) Superior management and/or technical skills
(3) Effectiveness in dealing with outside organizations and the public, as required by the nominee's position description, to promote a cooperative relationship between the community and the refuge. (4) Demonstrated personal dedication to:
Announcing Vic's selection, Andrew and Larry said, "Working with Vic on a daily basis, we know he is well deserving of this recognition. The entire Refuge Systems can now share in knowing what we have known all the while. Our wish is that all young employees of the Refuge System could model their careers after Vic Doig, his passion, focus, and dedication to our trusted natural resources and the Refuge System could put us on the right track again.
